What is Playground Studio

We are three Berlin-born filmmakers and entrepreneurs driven by a passion for cinematic storytelling.

Our journey began with Playground Boxing, one of Germany’s fastest-growing boxing organizations. What started as an ambitious sporting event quickly became the foundation of our production experience. We built the entire in-house media operation from the ground up, handling every aspect of production—from concept development and filming to editing and distribution. Through years of consistent work, our content has generated millions of views, teaching us how to combine cinematic quality with efficient, high-volume content production.

Today, we channel that experience into creating documentaries, commercials, narrative films, podcasts, and social-first content. We partner with brands, artists, and businesses to craft films that are visually striking, emotionally engaging, and strategically impactful.

Our creative direction is led by Lavi Siemens and Spencer Gäbel Weiss. Lavi is currently studying directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, while Spencer brings years of professional experience across commercial and narrative film productions. Together, they combine cinematic vision with hands-on expertise to deliver work that is both ambitious and authentic.

The company is co-founded by Toivo Sewing, who leads the business and operational side of the company.
